Nickel Creek | Dave and Rose
this is my favorite picture of my friends Dave and Rose which i've just been itching for an excuse to post.
some of you may know Dave as some kind of enchanter when it comes to BBQ. you may also know that his Grass is Blue. So on Oct 9th, Jackie and I went to see one of our most favorite groups ever -- Nickle Creek with Dave and Rose at the 9:30 club.
Blue Grass at the 9:30 club should speak volumes. Here is a pic of what most of the concert looked like. it was phenominal, and didn't disappoint (previous post)
seeing Chris Thile play mandolin was wonderful. besides having a sustained rate of fire of at least triplet 32nd notes -- he is so musical and fun to watch too.
the closing song of the third album and of the concert was performed around a single mic.

Afterwards we meandered over to Gtown and found some yummy food. It was a great night of hanging out with some great people.

So, um, what's the comparative tempo for those triplets? Just curious ... cause I've played 32nd note triplets before
but I was drunk.
oh yeah -- good point. whatever tempi it is that they play at. i thing it allegro con fantastico.
btw, how the heck do you play intoxicated? i've never tried but it sounds counterproductive.
