The Benediction

The benediction from our church service yesterday:

Lord Jesus
May we endeavor to
be your hands
be your feet
be your eyes.

Lord, increase our capacity to look with great compassion on the world.
On our neighbors,
on our co-workers,
on the guy in the car next to us,
on the woman at the toll booth,
on our spouse or significant other,
on our children,
on the beautiful people who make our burritos and probably have 3 jobs...

May we look for ways to do good and to be a blessing
to everyone we come in contact with in the course of our daily lives.
Amen.
